Squash Blossom is proud to have worked with Thomas Owen for nearly forty years. We have been carrying and selling his paintings since the late 1970s, and continue doing so even after his passing in March of 2019. Owen’s love of painting began early in life. He grew up in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania, visiting Chesapeake Bay as a child. He recalls that one of his first paintings was of a fireboat in the New York Harbor. ArtWalk Kickoff: Season Starts in April
Spring has finally sprung and with it comes Old Colorado City's First Friday ArtWalks. The first ArtWalk of 2018 will be held on Friday, April 6 from 5-8 PM. Seventeen Old Colorado City galleries will be participating in each art walk. There will be demonstrations by artists, complimentary snacks and wine, and the chance to engage in your local community. The largest concentration of galleries in Colorado Springs is in Old Colorado City between 23rd and 27th Streets on W. Colorado Avenue.
